Measuring Guide
Step 1: Upon selecting your desired piece of RYin, simply fill in your measurements per instructions below. (Don't worry, it will be our little secret.)
Step 2: Some pieces offer finishing touches from drop-downs provided. Send us a note if you have any questions or special requests.
It takes us about 6 to 8 weeks to make your unique piece just right.
Waist Measurement: To find your natural waist, you need to first bend to one side until you find the crease; this is your natural waist and usually the smallest part of your body, and where your skirt would sit. If you would like to have it sit lower, please let us know by contacting us.
Hip Measurement: With your feet shoulder-width apart, your hips should be the widest part of the bottom half of your body, and this includes your bottom. Tip: you may want to use a mirror to find the widest part.
Skirt Length: Taken from where you would like your skirt to sit to where you would like the hem to fall (above or below the knees). Tip: you may want to use a mirror to get a straight view, and be sure to stand up straight.
Slit Length: This is where the hem splits. Measure to where you would like the slit to cut off.
Neck Measurement: We are here to ensure every Colyin you choose will work for you
- For those who want to bring out their thin and pointed faces, we recommend a Colyin that's wider, like the Berry Amaryllis.
- For those who want to complement more rounded faces, we recommend a Colyin that's pointed and closer together, like the Lavender Aubergine.
Neck Measurement: To get an accurate neck measurement, wrap the measuring tape around your neck, and find the point that concave inward between your collar bone.
Shoulder Width: Grab a partner to get this measurement. Start at the outside edge of one shoulder, this is where the horizontal part of the shoulder meets the vertical part of the arm. Measure up to the outside edge of the other shoulder.
Chest Circumference: Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, tight up under your armpits.
Sleeve Length: Grab a partner to help you with this. Place the measuring tape at the top of the shoulder, let it fall to your elbow. Then from your elbow, measure to where you would like the sleeve to fall - we like it just below the wrist.
Bicep Circumference: Find the largest part of your bicep, wrap the measuring tape around to find the circumference.
Back Length: We need to know how long you want the jacket to be. Put one end of the measuring tape at the base of the back of your neck and measure down your back to the point where you'd want the jacket to be.
Please note that the final products will be made to the measurements provided to us at the beginning of your order. Should your measurements fluctuate between the time of order and receiving the product, we will only be able to offer alterations at an additional cost.
